SNK FEMALE LEADS TAKE THE STAGE IN NEW VIDEO GAME
Video game publisher SNK is trying to make a stake in the fighting game genre this year by announcing a Nintendo Switch and PS4 title. SNK raised the stakes by featuring an all female cast. All the favorites from SNK’s titles (most notably King of Fighters) are said to be included.
The game is called SNK Heroines: Tag-Team Frenzy and serves as a cross-over game featuring tag battles with teams of two. The game will sport 3D modeled characters on 2D backgrounds with a roster of 14 fighters.
In a strange twist the game will welcome casual players by introducing a one button finisher capability called the “Dream Finish” along with dropping items on stage for players to use (similar to the Super Smash Bros. series).
Out of 14 characters here is the confirmed roster so far:
Other game features include massive customization (in the style of a dress-up game) and a spectator mode for online battles where viewers use an in-game currency to bet on matches. The online play also supports four human players at one time instead of two people controlling different characters.
There’s no confirmed release date yet, but the game plans to drop this summer.
