CETRION WILL FINISH YOU!

AN ELDER GOD INTERVENES IN MORTAL KOMBAT 11

Throughout the Mortal Kombat franchise the only elder god fans have interacted with was Shinnock; and he was mostly the villain of the series. In a complete shocker, NetherRealm has actually decided not to just reveal another elder god, but, to let us play as the elder god too.

This new elder god is called Cetrion, the ruler of nature. She has the power to control the basic elements of wind, water (and ice) fire and earth with her moves consisting of various long distance attacks or keep-away tactics. She uses her wind mastery to summon tornadoes, water and to extend her grabs, ice to trap opponents or rocks to hurl as projectiles. In all honesty, the elder gods are only recognizable due to their pale green skin, so Cetrion might as well have been another random god like Raiden. With Raiden going on an anarchy rampage and Kronika using her time control powers to threaten each realm, it looks like Cetrion will be the last line of defense for everyone. The real question is if Cetrion looks to take Shinnock’s place or to genuinely protect Earth.

Mortal Kombat 11 launches April 23rd. Here’s the updated roster:
