“DAMN” THE “BLACK PANTHER” WILL RISE
KENDRICK LAMAR AND TOP DAWG TO PRODUCE BLACK PANTHER SOUNDTRACK
Kendrick Lamar’s music video for “Love” indicated Kung Fu Kenny’s involvement in the upcoming film Black Panther, however, after dropping the single “All the Stars” with SZA, his involvement has been revealed to be much deeper.
Not only is “All the Stars” a great track, it’s the lead single of the Black Panther soundtrack. On top of being featured on the album, Kendrick will have a say in the production of the entire album. His Top Dawg label mate Anthony Tiffith (“Top Dawg” himself) will co-produce with Kendrick. No other artists have been announced for the album, however, previous Black Panther trailers have featured “Legend Has It” by Run The Jewels and “BagBak” by Vince Staples. Kendrick’s “DNA” was also featured on the trailers that screen during the San Diego Comi-Con.
The film releases on February 16th while the album drops February 9th. It’s possible some more artists could be revealed before the release.
