EMINEM’S “REVIVIAL” PUT ON HOLD
DESPITE RUMORS OF NOVEMBER 17 DROP, REVIVAL SLATED FOR DECEMBER 8TH/15TH
Paul Rosenberg had given Eminem the perfect campaign, a building sized billboard with a working phone number and website for something called Revival. The website even sported an inspiring and believable commercial for whatever this Revival was supposed to be. All signs pointed to a November 17th release but then the 17th came and went.
While no real reason was given, a new release date has been provided. Eminem’s latest album: Revival will be available for DIGITAL purchase on December 8th. Physical copies will be made available the following week on the 15th.
Dropping the physical copies a week later prevents any tracks (or the whole thing) to be leaked early. People will still have to pay in some form for the digital album on the 8th. Eminem can still sell physical albums so it’s not a huge deal for him. If anything, Eminem has learned to make headlines through streaming whether it’s his controversial BET cypher a few months ago or his track “Campaign Speech” from a year ago.
December 8th and 15th are still Fridays, the prime day for releasing music so everyone could wait at least one more month to hear what Eminem has to say.
He did, however, release the leading single to Revival so we can enjoy that down below:
