FOUR MORE SHINOBI JUMP INTO THE FIGHT

MORE NARUTO CHARACTERS APPEAR IN JUMP FORCE

50 years is no small feat, but 50 years of publishing constant hits is even more phenomenal. The Shonen Jump crossover fighting game Jump Force has added four more characters from one of their iconic franchises to its roster. Attributing to the success of the publication, one of the four characters is actually from a spin-off.

The four characters come from the Naruto franchise with everyone’s favorite sensei Kakashi, former enemy Gaara, the mother of all chakra Kaguya and Naruto’s son Boruto joining the fight. When added to Naruto and Sauske, the franchise ends up represented by six characters altogether. While no trailer was released to reveal these characters, the fighters were announced in the Jump magazine and through tweets from Bandai Namco U.S. At this years Jump Festa, the story mode to the greatest crossover in video game history was revealed. We now at least know why all these characters will be meeting. Part of that story actually involves one of the latest characters added to the roster, Trunks (Future Trunks). Trunks will apparently run back in time to the present year of the game in order to follow the threat that crosses over all the different Jump universes. The heroes and some villains of these universes will team up with your created avatar to form the titular Jump Force.

Joining the shinobi are the villains that players will encounter in the story. Based on the Jump Festa trailer, these are the villains that cause Future Trunks to time travel to the present day and kick off the game’s story campaign. The two new characters are Kane and Galena who are involved in some sort of mind control plot, as players will encounter hypnotized characters, such as Vegeta throughout the story. Other antagonists that are on the roster may join these new villains for personal gain.

Vegeta is clearly under a spell as his eyes are glowing red.

Kane is some sort of purple powerhouse, similar to Hit from Dragon Ball Super, but who possibly fights like Jiren. The other character Galeena has insect wings and can shoot lightning and white stingers from all directions. Both characters were designed by DragonBall creator Akira Toriyama for the sole purpose of the game.

Jump Force will release on February 15th! With the addition of these characters the roster is as follows:
