FRIEZA WILL BE AVENGED

DRAGON BALL FIGHTERZ ADDS COOLER TO THE ROSTER

EVO 2018 has done it again; in fact Bandai Namco appears to be on a roll. After the finals of the Dragon Ball FighterZ tournament, a special showcase was played for the audience. The video prominently featured the most recent DLC fighters Goku and Vegeta (in their base forms); however the end of the video was the most captivating.

At the end of the showcase, the trailer for the 7th character in the FighterZ Pass was revealed to be none other than Frieza’s brother Cooler. Cooler fights in his final form, unlike Frieza who has a new final golden form (in the anime, not the game). He appears to hit harder and move a little slower than his brother but overall shares Frieza’s style. Cooler is also an interesting choice considering he’s only appeared in films and not in the anime.

Fans of Dragon Ball Z know that most of the films are not canon but the releases of Battle of the Gods and Resurrection ‘F’  have set the trend to make movie events impact the actual plot of the episodic anime series. Even the new film to release, Dragon Ball Super Broly, will introduce Broly into the main series as opposed to relegating him as a special movie villain with a one time appearance.

Base Goku and Vegeta are already out now, but Cooler’s date is still unknown. He’s also the 7th character to be revealed, which means the next announcement will be the last character of the pass. Cooler should be available for $5 unless you already bought the FighterZ Pass, then he’s free.
