“GET OUT” OF MY TOWN RACISTS!
JORDAN PEELE TEAMS WITH SPIKE LEE ON FILM ABOUT A BLACK KKK MEMBER: “BLACK KLANSMAN”
Yes you read that headline right. Jordan Peele has become the master of playing on social racist commentary in film despite him having only one movie under his belt. His solo debut in “Get Out” became the highest grossing movie of this year and many were wondering how he would follow up on that success. The answer: team up with the OG of race commentary in director Spike Lee. Peele’s production company Monkey Paw Productions will be behind a returning Lee’s vision when they adapt the true story of Ron Stallworth for the big screen.
Stallworth was an African-American investigator from Colorado who somehow managed to infiltrate the Colorado Springs chapter of the KKK during the 70’s. Stallworth went from being a local member to becoming the Colorado Springs chapter leader and being in contact with KKK leader David Duke on multiple occasions. What started out as a simple act of curiosity quickly snowballed into a full-fledged investigation into creating counter measures against the KKK.

Despite “Get Out” hitting certain extremes due to its thriller genre, the film still accurately represented today’s social climate regarding race. Since this new film is obviously a true story, Peele will get to test his skills in what could be considered a crime drama or even some new type of noir style. Don’t worry as any thrills you experience in this film will definitely be real. Either way, with Spike Lee at the helm and Peele as the navigator this new film will no doubt smash the records “Get Out” has set. Oh did I mention that Denzel Washington’s son, John David Washington is set to star? Also, Jason Blum of Blumhouse Productions will be returning to Peele’s side as well.

John David Washington can be seen with The Rock on HBO’s “Ballers”.
Get ready for another surprise as Lee and Peele have been working on “Black Klansman” for two years already. There’s no release date reported yet.
