GO GO RYU RANGER!

POWER RANGERS & STREET FIGHTER CROSS OVER IN FAN MADE FILM

With Hasbro owning the rights to the Power Rangers franchise, speculation has run rampant on future films coming out. One of the easiest ideas to go with may have come from Saban’s last act as owner. In an attempt to revitalize the series a mobile fighting game called Power Rangers Legacy Wars was released. It was a decent game and is somewhat canon to the Shattered Grid arc of the new comics. In true mobile game fashion, Legacy Wars featured Ryu from Street Fighter as an available character. Thanks to that a fan-made live adaptation film will be made.

The film is called Power Rangers Legacy Wars: Street Fighter Showdown with Bat in the Sun as the production studio. Funny enough, Jason David Frank is good friends with the producers at Bat in the Sun; meaning he should not only star in the film, but will ensure the film is true to Power Rangers lore and fighting standards.

You can see how Ryu looks as a ranger by playing the Legacy Wars game.

If anyone is wondering how Ryu fits into the story check out the synopsis below:

“After he and his friends were sucked into the Morphin Grid, Ryu was presented with his own Crimson Hawk Power Coin, allowing him to morph into the Ryu Ranger, and team up with the Power Rangers to take on the deadly duo of M. Bison and Rita Repulsa. Combining his Crimson Hawk Power Coin with the power of Hado, Ryu Ranger’s Hadoken takes the shape of the hawk, lifting his opponents into the air, and his Tatsumaki uses the strength of a hawk’s wings to trap his opponents.”

Power Rangers Legacy Wars: Street Fighter Showdown will release this fall. The trailer is below:
