“IT” NEEDS TO END
FIRST TRAILER FOR “IT: CHAPTER TWO” RELEASES
Shortly after the release of Stephen King’s “IT” reboot, the sequel (or second part of the book) was given a release date of September 6, 2019. True to Pennywise’s nature, all news on the franchise went into hibernation-until today. The first official trailer for IT: Chapter Two has dropped and while it doesn’t reveal much, it’s scary as hell.
The trailer sees Beverly returning to Derry as an adult and visiting her old home with a creepy old woman now living there. The trailer acts as a slow burn where you realize that Beth might be stuck in a hallucination. Hallucination or not, the sequel does focus on the second part of King’s novel, where the Losers Club (now adults) returns to Derry to finally kill Pennywise for good. It’s one thing to have the new Pennywise scare children, but can he successfully scare the adults; especially since adults tend to forget incidents involving Pennywise in Derry.
Bill Skarsgard will return as Pennywise with the rest of the cast being the adult versions of the children played by Jessica Chastain (Beverly), Bill Hader (Richie), James McAvoy (Bill), James Ransone (Eddie), Andy Bean (Stan), Jay Ryan (Ben), Isaiah Mustafa (Mike).
Due to the success of the first film, IT: Chapter Two is sure to live up to expectations.
