IT STARTED WITH TWO SAIYANS
OG GOKU AND VEGETA JOIN THE FIGHT
When DragonBall FighterZ was about to release, Bandai Namco introduced a DLC FighterZ Pass that would include eight additional characters. Half of the pass has been revealed in the forms of Broly, Bardock, Fused Zamasu and Super Saiyan Blue Vegito. Now players are hitting the final stretch as the fifth and sixth DLC characters have been revealed: “Base” Goku and “Base” Vegeta.
The base forms of Goku and Vegeta are the characters that started the Dragon Ball Z franchise; the forms that were in the Saiyans invading Earth arc. If you liked these characters when watching the anime, then chances are you became a full-fledged fan of the series. For those who don’t know, the base form of Vegeta is the version that arrived on Earth with Nappa. He comes fully clad in the full Frieza/Saiyan armor and still has his tail intact. Base Goku only looks younger than the hero we know, but he is able to power up using various Kaioken levels.
Base Goku’s Kaioken technique can increase from X3 to X20. Whenever he knocks out an opponent he will unlock the next level of Kaioken to increase damage. Other than that, Base Goku is the only Goku form that can use the Spirit Bomb. This attack fills the entire screen but moves incredibly slow. Base Vegeta uses his signature Galick Gun technique but also has access to Galaxy Breaker. Galaxy Breaker is a surge of energy that Vegeta can release from his body (even in mid-air) to attack his opponents. It could also be used as a shield for physical attacks if needed.
Fans who bought or will buy the Fighterz Pass will get Goku and Vegeta for free but everyone else will be able to purchase the characters for $5 each. There are only two characters left for the pass now. Are you excited that Vegeta and Goku get another form or should a different character have gotten the spot?
