JOHNNY CAGE WILL FINISH YOU!
JOHNNY CAGE TO RETURN IN MORTAL KOMBAT 11
With Mortal Kombat 11 slated for an April 23rd launch, NetherRealm Studios has been revealing the game’s roster through its Kombat Kast streaming series. While this week’s Kombat Kast revealed details on Mortal Kombat‘s mobile game, Johnny Cage was teased to be in the game by series creator Ed Boon. With the tease out of the way, NetherRealm decided to just reveal the trailer anyway.
Johnny Cage may have aged but his Hollywood antics remain the same. Being a mere mortal (somewhat), he does employ some gadgets to get him through a fight. Johnny can call his stunt double to hold his opponent down, put on brass knuckles to hit harder and use a chainsaw to cut his opponents (like every other Hollywood star in a horror franchise). He can even attack using a camera’s flash and throw his sunglasses like a boomerang. There’s even a counter move where Johnny mimes an invisible wall. And yes, he does still have his Shadow Kicks and Shadow Uppercuts. His Fatal Blow and Fatality are enough to break the fourth wall.
Cage was one of the original characters from the very first game and actually has a decent story throughout the entire franchise, even with the reboot Mortal Kombat game from 2011.
Mortal Kombat 11 launches April 23rd. Here’s the updated roster:
Geras (New character)
Shao Khan (Pre-order bonus)
