KENSHIRO AND RYO JUMP INTO THE FIGHT
FIST OF THE NORTH STAR AND CITY HUNTER JOIN JUMP FORCE
The Shonen Jump crossover fighting game Jump Force was announced back at E3 without a specific release date. Well at the Paris Games Conference, not only was the release date revealed, but so were two new characters! Each new character will be a representative of new franchises. The two new fighters are Kenshiro from the classic Fist of the North Star and Ryo of City Hunter.
Kenshiro is well enough known by many in the West with the show being focused on his incredible brute strength. Many Americans (including the likes of John Cena) actually list it as a favorite. On top of his overwhelming strength, Kenshiro is a master of the Hokuto Shinken martial art. While the martial art is primarily a fictional one, it is based on manipulating acupuncture points and Chinese Taoism. It’s an incredibly lethal style that excels at assassination, but must only be used to uphold justice.
Ryo Saeba is essentially a private detective/bounty hunter in Tokyo. Despite operating in Tokyo, he was raised by guerrilla fighters in Central America and did fight for the United States military. Having been raised by guerrilla fighters, Ryo is an exceptional marksman known for his one-hole shot, where all his bullets land in the same spot. He appears in Jump Force with his trusty Colt Python .357 Magnum.
Fittingly enough, since they were announced during Paris Games Week, the stage they appeared on was actually Paris, France- just with some added elements tossed in.
Jump Force will release on February 15th! With the addition of these two characters the roster is as follows:
