LEBRON JAMES IS HAVING A “HOUSE PARTY”
LEBRON’S SPRINGHILL ENTERTAINMENT TO PRODUCE HOUSE PARTY REBOOT
Although King James won’t end his NBA career anytime soon, he will become more active as a film and TV producer. After playing himself in the 2015 film Trainwreck, he announced he would be in charge of the sequel to Space Jam: Space Jam 2. His newest project has been revealed as a reboot to the original House Party film.
The only details available about the film are that James will produce the film with his production company SpringHill Entertainment and that he’s enlisted Atlanta writers Stephen Glover (Donald’s brother) and Jamal Olori. With Glover and Olori just wrapping up Atlanta: Robbin Season, it will be interesting to see what they come up with for this reboot.
Also, James isn’t calling this film a reboot but his quote just happens to be the definition of a reboot:
“This is definitely not a reboot. It’s an entirely new look for a classic movie. Everyone I grew up with loved House Party. To partner with this creative team to bring a new House Party to a new generation is unbelievable.”
The real question is: Will LeBron James or other NBA players make an appearance in the film?
