NINTENDO AT E3 2019
DID THEY DOMINATE AGAIN?
Nintendo won E3 last year, so did they win E3 2019? Also, I will not count Pokemon Sword and Pokemon Shield as the Direct last week addressed most of what was showcased at E3.
SUPER SMASH BROS. ULTIMATE
With Joker from Persona 5 released earlier this year, E3 was the perfect time to get more DLC for Smash. We got two new fighters in the form of the Dragon Quest hero (as multiple skins) and Banjo-Kazooie (finally!) And they release this Fall!
NO MORE HEROES 3
Travis Touchdown is back and better than ever with a new katana blade and an armored suit. Plus, his humor won’t be watered down for his Switch port. The game will drop in 2020.
MARVEL ULTIMATE ALLIANCE 3: THE BLACK ORDER
The next installment in one of Marvel’s best video games comes to the Switch with a more heroes and some cooler ones to boot too. The game drops July 19th.
DAEMON X MACHINA
The insane action packed mecha game finally gets a release date with a new trailer. This is a can’t miss game with action similar to Zone of the Enders. Daemon x Machina drops September 13th.
CADENCE OF HYRULE
This game made waves due to its similarities to the Zelda franchise. Normally Nintendo would prevent people from using similar assets and gameplay in their games. So when Cadence of Hyrule got the green light, it meant that Nintendo must have been impressed. Nintendo revealed a new trailer along with the release date of now. You can even play as Link or Zelda.
LUIGI’S MANSION 3
The Gamecube classic finally gets a new entry in the series and it releases on the Switch. The release date isn’t set but it will drop this year.
ASTRAL CHAIN
Chalk this one up to something similar to DAEMON x MACHINA but with chimeras instead of mechas. During a Treehouse demo, it was seen that the game combines investigative adventuring with the fast action seen in the trailer. There are RPG elements to leveling up as well. Astral Chain drops August 30, 2019.
SEQUEL TO THE LEGEND OF ZELDA: BREATH OF THE WILD
It doesn’t have an official title yet, but there is officially a sequel in development to Breath of the Wild.
There’s a ton more like Fire Emblem: Three Houses, the actual Pokemon demo and the new Animal Crossing game but you’ll have to watch the entire conference for everything.
You can watch the entire conference below:
