NOW EVEN THE DLC GETS IN A FRENZY
THIEF ARTHUR JOINS SNK HEROINES: TAG TEAM FRENZY AS CROSSOVER DLC
SNK Heroines: Tag Team Frenzy went from straight-forward game with fan service tendencies and an aesthetically diverse roster to an undeniable eye-opener worth waiting for. The roster is proportionately comprised of cute girls, timid girls, deadly women, femme fatales and captivating, striking women while going so far as to gender swap an iconic fighter from video game history. In true Japanese fashion, the ante has been raised with the game’s DLC content. That’s right, DLC characters will also compete to be the “Belle of the Ball“.
In what could be seen as the first of many, a crossover DLC character has been announced for the upcoming SNK Heroines: Tag Team Frenzy. Fans in the West may not know this character which is exactly why SNK’s decision is all the more exciting. The first DLC character is Thief Arthur from Kai-ri-Sei Million Arthur or Million Arthur: Arcana Blood. The games are exclusive to Japanese arcades, although the games will be ported to the PlayStation 4. As with anything Japanese exclusive, there are Westerners who find a way to expose these games to the general Western public. The American publisher for SNK Heroines: Tag Team Frenzy had this to say about Thief Arthur’s inclusion:
“From the Million Arthur series, Thief Arthur arrives and steals the show! Once long ago, she infiltrated Camelot to steal some of its legendary treasure, accidentally removed the legendary blade Excalibur and became king! Her stubbornness gets in the way of showing kindness towards others as well. Now, she arrives in SNK Heroines: Tag Team Frenzy to swiftly kick, punch, and whack(!) her opponents before snagging their treasure!”
Thief Arthur’s inclusion is most likely due to the collaboration of including King of Fighters character Iori Yagami in the port of Million Arthur: Arcana Blood. It’s yet to be known if more DLC characters will be available for SNK Heroines: Tag Team Frenzy, but it’s safe to say that just one DLC character is not enough.
