SNOOP DOGG’S COMMENTARY GOES WITH EVERYTHING
KNOCKOUT MODE IN UFC 3 FEATURES SNOOP DOGG REACTING TO THE PLAYERS
Celebrities are people too, which means many celebrities enjoy playing video games like the rest of us (although they have more time for it). The OG Snoop Dogg is no exception. While Snoop’s voice and chill demeanor seem to fit with almost anything (see Snoop provide commentary for nature shows), the rapper may have found a possible side career in sports commentary.
The upcoming video game UFC 3 will have a new arcade style mode called “Knockout” mode. In this mode players will fight with health bars, trying to knock each other out (just like in an arcade). The difference comes in the form of a special knockout move that can be performed when a player depletes their opponent’s health. It’s similar to a fatality in Mortal Kombat except that it’s non-lethal and there won’t be any complicated player inputs.
Despite the non-lethality of the mode, the blows in UFC 3 are still something you wouldn’t want to take in real life. Add to that Snoop’s commentary and EA may have created a new staple that needs to be in future installments. It also makes you wonder why don’t we get more rappers to place commentary over everything else.
The game officially drops February 2nd for PS4 and XBox One, however, anyone who ordered the Champions Edition can start playing January 30th.
