SWEET TRANSVESTITE FROM TRANSSEXUAL, TRANSYLVANIA TO BRING MIDNIGHT TO L.A.
AFTER THE 40 YEAR ANNIVERSARY, THE ROCKY HORROR PICTURE SHOW GOES HOLLYWOOD
DISCLAIMER: THIS PIECE WAS ALREADY PUBLISHED WHEN I WORKED FOR MIDNIGHT PULP (A SUBSIDIARY OF DIGITAL MEDIA RIGHTS)
2015 marked the 40th anniversary of the ROCKY HORROR PICTURE SHOW, however on July 9th the cast is set to reunite at the Hollywood Show Convention in Los Angeles. Indiewire confirms that the main star Tim Curry was already set to make an appearance at the convention, but the stakes were raised as fellow cast members Barry Bostwick, Patricia Quinn and Nell Campbell are now booked to appear as well. Bostwick, Quinn and Campbell played Brad Majors, Columbia and Magenta respectively.
The Hollywood Show is the self-proclaimed best autograph and memorabilia show ever on the West coast and this year it may just be true. The ROCKY HORROR PICTURE SHOW is all about grandiose performances today, something a little less pronounced in the movie’s early days. If people in New York are willing to dress up as the iconic characters today and perform alongside the film, what will happen when the cast recreates the show live at the convention?
