TAKE A LOOK AT BROLY’S PAST
OFFICIAL DUB TRAILER FOR DRAGON BALL SUPER: BROLY REVEALED
The ending of the Dragon Ball Super season meant that some new content would appear in the form of films. Earlier this month, it was revealed that the franchise was getting a new film featuring the introduction of the legendary Broly. An even greater surprise was the series creator Akira Toriyama stating that following the film, Broly will exist as part of the main canon of Dragon Ball Super. Somewhat appropriately, the English Dub trailer for the upcoming film was revealed at the San Diego Comic-Con.
The trailer showcases the visual changes made to Broly but also hints at his backstory. Despite having his backstory revealed in previous films, Broly was never meant to be a part of the Dragon Ball Z franchise. With Dragon Ball Super introducing multiverses and integrating iconic past characters, Broly looks fit to have a more prominent role in the entire franchise. The start of that role would be to have a definitive backstory explaining why he exists. Since his character will now be canon, the new Broly also looks to serve as a different protagonist compared to an antagonist in his former appearances.
The English Dub of the film will hit the U.S. in January 2019. Check out the trailer below:
