“TEKKEN 7” HAS ITS “FINAL FANTASY”
NOCTIS ANNOUNCED AS NEWEST DLC CHARACTER FOR TEKKEN 7
During the Tekken World Finals this past weekend, the newest DLC character for the fighting franchise was announced. Back in July, Geese Howard from the Fatal Fury/King of Fighters franchises was revealed to be a new fighter for Tekken 7. Now the newest character to join the fight is Noctis from Final Fantasy 15.
The fun fact about the reveal is that another character from the Final Fantasy franchise was revealed as a DLC fighter for another game two years ago on the same date. While Noctis was announced for Tekken 7, Cloud Strife was announced as an additional character for Super Smash Bros. 4.
The announcement of Noctis reveals his Engine Blade along with a new stage: Hammerhead Garage. Noctis follows Yoshimitsu’s lead by fighting with a weapon, however, his Engine Blade only appears when it’s called upon (as opposed to Yoshimitsu always holding his blade).
While Geese Howard will be available by New Year’s, Noctis will be available in the spring of 2018.
