THE DATE OF INTERSECTING FATE
MORE FATES WILL INTERSECT ON JUNE 19TH
So far BlazBlue Cross Tag Battle has revealed the fate of the remaining members of team RWBY and the first two DLC packs. Blake Belladonna and Yang Xiao Long will be free to download along with the other six DLC characters available for purchase. When BlazBlue Cross Tag Battle drops on June 5th, Kanji, Orie and Platinum the Trinity will be free to download for anyone who has pre-ordered the game. As mentioned before, Yang and Blake will be free to download as well.
The problem with this reveal is that the date was uncertain as to when the revealed fighters would be available. Well along with the the third DLC pack, the release date of June 19th has been slated for all the announced characters so far.
The prodigy detective Naoto (Persona 4), loli android Vatista (Under-Night) and another member of the legendary heroes Hakumen (BlazBlue) will all be released as the final (so far) DLC pack after the game’s release.
Ever since the announcement of the game, fans have been clamoring for Hakumen to make an appearance and he’s finally here (although it’s DLC). Naoto adds more depth to the Persona 4 roster of the game, even with her often bursting other characters’ bubbles. Vatista is another robot girl, although cuter than the other robots announced thus far. She also plays a little more delicately than the other robots, more so specializing in distanced attacks.
The current roster is now as follows:
Ragna the Bloodegde (BlazBlue)
Jin Kisaragi (BlazBlue)
Rachel Alucard (BlazBlue)
Noel Vermillion (BlazBlue)
Iron Tager (BlazBlue)
Makoto Nanaya (BlazBlue)
Nu-Number 13 (BlazBlue)
Yu Narukami (Persona 4)
Yosuke Hanamura (Persona 4)
Chie Satonaka (Persona 4)
Yukiko Amagi (Persona 4)
Ruby Rose (RWBY)
Weiss Schnee (RWBY)
The known DLC roster is now as follows:
Blake Belladonna (RWBY)
Yang Xiao Long (RWBY)
Trinity The Platinum (BlazBlue)
Kanji Tatsumi (Persona 4)
Aigis (Persona 4)
Naoto Shirogane (Persona 4)
This new batch of DLC means that the Under-Night and Persona 4 franchises are still tied at six characters while BlazBlue now has 12. Blake and Yang ensure that team RWBY is complete but the RWBY franchise is still underrepresented with four characters.
The game releases on June 5th in the U.S. and upon the game’s release will consist of 22 characters (Blake and Yang are available right away as a pre-order for free). The three DLC packs reveal 11 of the planned 22 and with the game dropping right before E3, expect some greater announcements once the convention is over. Of course EVO 18 will see the game debut on the competitive scene, which makes the perfect scenario for more characters to be announce.
