THE ORIGINAL RED RANGER IS BACK?
AUSTIN ST. JOHN COULD RETURN IN POWER RANGERS BEAST MORPHERS
The new team of Power Rangers is ok. The past few iterations of the franchise tend to have strong points throughout their seasons, but the stories are never strong enough to last the whole season. Luckily, there are always team-up episodes to bring in viewers and it looks like Beast Morphers will feature the original red ranger.
Any new season of Power Rangers that goes into production must use footage from its Japanese counterpart show Super Sentai. Due to this contractual obligation, the Beast Morpher rangers will have to team up with rangers from Zyuranger (Mighty Morphin). Abaranger (Dino Thunder) and Kyoruger (Dino Charge). All three of these seasons revolved around dinosaurs and speculation lists Brennan Mejia, Yoshi Sudarso and James Davies as featuring in the a cross-over as well. All three of these actors were rangers in the Dino Charge series.
Since the crossover is dinosaur themed and will feature Mighty Morphin, Austin St. John is the obvious choice to be featured. The cross-over episode won’t premiere until 2020, but St. John’s appearance will be the first since the 10th anniversary “Forever Red” episode from Wild Force; unlike Jason David Frank, who constantly appears throughout the franchise.
