THE TORTURED SOUL RETURNS TO MAKE HISTORY
SIEGFRIED WILL BE A SEPARATE CHARACTER IN SOULCALIBUR VI
SoulCalibur VI will actually occur somewhere in the timeline between the first two games. Most fans know that even though Siegfried and Nightmare are two separate souls, they still shared the same body. In the lore, Siegfried would be possessed by Nightmare while he was sleeping during the night. When Siegfried would wake up, he’d learn about the countless victims that fell to his (unknowing) wrath. Despite this (somewhat critical) detail in the lore, Siegfried will be a playable character in SoulCalibur VI. While Siegfried has been playable in multiple installments of the franchise, he was not considered a separate “person” until SoulCalibur IV. But who cares about details when you have his giant sword.
Despite Siegfried sharing a giant sword as Nightmare does, he represents the good to counter Nightmare’s evil. Thus Siegfried’s play-style is surprisingly quick for someone carrying such a massive weapon. He may still be able to hit hard, but one would think that balancing the game would require Siegfried to deal slightly less damage than Nightmare. Both characters would still be heavy hitters though.
With Siegfried confirmed, the current roster is as follows:
Geralt (guest character)
Groh (new character)
