THE X-FORCE IS HERE!
FORMATION OF THE X-FORCE SHOWN IN NEWEST TRAILER
After intense re-shoots (which turned out to be unnecessary) and plenty of parody trailers, the first real trailer for Deadpool 2 is finally out. While we already knew that Cable was going to play the antagonist to Deadpool, we now have the reason why.
Cable has come back from the future to kill a young mutant boy played by Julian Dennison. Dennison may or may not be the character Thunderbird. In the comics, Thunderbird is Indian but Dennison is of Maori descent. In response to this, Deadpool will at least try to protect the kid by forming the X-Force.
The trailer also reveals who is in the X-Force. While originally thought that Domino (Zazie Beets) would be on Cable’s side, she ends up (regrettably) on the X-Force. The star of IT Bill Skarsgard is also in the film (possibly) as Zeitgeist and surprisingly Terry Crews joins the X-Force as George Washington Bridge. Zeitgeist’s power is spitting out insanely corrosive goop that can eat through anything (Deadpool will make nasty jokes about it), while George Washington Bridge (an amazing name) does become a member of Cable’s Wild/Six Pack in the comics. He may be coming off a break of his relationship from Cable or he could join Cable in the film.
Rounding out the X-Force are Negasonic Teenage Warhead (returning from the last film with Colossus) and Surge (played by Shioli Kutsuna). Surge is a member of the absent X-Men who can absorb electricity and use it to boost her movement or electrify weapons.
Of course, Vanessa, Bind Al, Weasel and everyone’s favorite taxi driver Dopinder all return.
