WITNESS THE RESURRECTION
PASSION OF THE CHRIST SEQUEL CONFIRMED
Somehow Hollywood has forgiven Mel Gibson for being a racist so Gibson is marking his return to Hollywood by producing a sequel to the 2004 film Passion Of The Christ. Jim Caviezel (who played Jesus our Lord and Savior) revealed that he was in talks to reprise his role. While no official announcement has been made, the Gibson is moving forward with the project.
We may see Jim Caviezel as Jesus again, but with Jesus being dead in the beginning of the film, will Caviezel be around during the whole screen time?
Gibson has tapped Braveheart writer Randall Wallace to write the sequel to the birth of Christianity, with the film being centered around Jesus’ Resurrection and what would become known as Easter. The first film was most likely incredibly tedious to write considering the research that needed to be done, so this film will need greater discipline to pen.
No other information has been revealed, however, Gibson used $30 million of his own money to produce Passion Of The Christ and will most likely use his own money for the sequel. During the film’s release, it generated $611 million worldwide so the sequel seems blessed to earn even more.
